Event discovery in an app that a brings a wall of posters to your phone

About: This app is like walking down a street lined with posters that you might be interested in.

Responsibilities: As the only UI/UX designer, I was tasked with translating the vibrant, underground poster culture into a digital experience. This involved creating an interface that felt both intuitive and easy and fast to browse.

Design Philosophy: The aim was to design an app that felt like a digital extension of a city's underground scene. Gestures and swipe overlays easily reveal more information. Location services make sure the app is relevant to you.

Applied Methods: I developed interactive prototypes to test the browsing and discovery experience. Emphasis was placed on creating a seamless poster-to-event transition, ensuring users could move from visual attraction to event details effortlessly.

Challenges: One major challenge was ensuring the diverse range of poster designs, each with its unique colour schemes and typography, presented cohesively within the app. Additionally, optimising the app for quick loading without compromising quality was crucial.

Outcomes: The app has been praised for its approach to event discovery, bridging the gap between traditional poster culture and the digital age.
